A Letter From our Director About Summer Staff:
I truly believe that NGCC is one of the greatest places on Earth... I grew up here, I attended camp here, I worked here when I was in high school and loved it so much that I continued working every summer through college. A job as a summer staff CAN be a highlight of your life, but you need to understand that you will only get out of it what you are willing to put into it... If you get tired easily - both physically or mentally - if you seem to always have a bad attitude, if you don't enjoy being around students, if you don't like being told what to do, if you have a hard time with physical labor, if you aren't excited about the work Jesus is doing, if you cannot be separated from your phone, if you need "personal space" often, and/or if you don't like hanging out with other people, laughing, and participating in random - sometimes silly - events, this job MIGHT NOT BE (probably isn't) FOR YOU. Also, please keep in mind that we depend on a staff that is emotionally and spiritually mature. We need our staff to be leaders who can pour into our campers, volunteers, deans, and each other throughout the entire summer.

STAFF POSITIONS
Here at NGCC we have two different staff teams, Kitchen Staff and Activity Staff. However, we operate as one big team! All staff teams will train together, live together, and work together for much of the day! All camp staff lives/sleeps at camp for the full summer and will have meals provided for them. Additionally, we have a position open for Summer Camp Photographer. This person isn't on a designated staff team, but will interact will all teams (and campers) all day long and live with/eat with the staff just the same.
Kitchen Staff:
Our Kitchen Staff will be direct support for our Camp Cook. Kitchen Staff will be in charge of setting up for every meal, helping with meal prep, serving, and cleaning up after each meal. Kitchen Staff will be expected to be in the kitchen an hour prior to each meal and remain there until everything is cleaned. (Each meal time will require approx. 2-3 hours) Kitchen Staff are expected to be on campus every day there is a camp in session. We are looking for individuals who have great care for quality service, who can make anything fun (like chopping veggies for an hour in a hot kitchen), and can see this "behind the scene" role as a crucial part of the ministry of NGCC. We eat food 3 times a day... it's up to our Kitchen staff to make GOOD food and have FUN making and serving it!
Activity Staff:
Activity Staff will be in charge of… you guessed it, activities! Each day our campers may chose to zip-line, climb the rock wall, take a boat out on the lake, etc. Our Activity Staff will be fully trained to facilitate these activities with excellence, safety, and excitement! In addition to our camp activities, Activity Staff will be required to become Lifeguard certified and will lifeguard for every camp in session. We are looking for individuals who love to make group activities FUN, who can manage mid-size groups, can engage groups in what ever activity is happening, who have safety and protocol as top priority, who feel confident in their ability to get Lifeguard certified, and who feel comfortable about making every moment a teachable moment.
Camp Photographer: (Application Closed)
The Camp Photographer is a team of 1 but at the same time, very much a part of every other team. Our photographer is in charge of capturing all the best moments of camp- at every camp session, editing and uploading photos daily, managing/posting to our social medias, and creating an end of the week video for each week of camp! We are looking for someone with great time management, great self-motivation, someone with the great gift of photography, someone excited to take over our social media, and someone who loves finding and creating big moments of JOY! This person should be able to connect easily with campers of all ages, know the importance of learning and remembering names, and be an encourager and source of excitement to all!
